This fall, Arizona Microcredit Initiative is partnering with the cities of Peoria, Goodyear and Avondale to host the West Valley Pitch Competition.

The live event allows local small business owners to pitch their businesses to a panel of judges for a share of $10,000 in cash prizes: $4,000 for first place, $3,000 for second, $2,000 for third and $1,000 for fourth.

The event is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Rio Vista Recreation Center, 8866 W. Thunderbird Rd.
