Centennial principal resigns amid sexual misconduct allegations of former teachers

Some say principal did not report alleged misconduct early enough

Centennial High School Principal Scott Hollabaugh resigned May 22 amid alleged sexual misconduct by teachers employed at the school.

The Peoria Unified School District has been under the microscope for several months, ever since Centennial High teachers Haley Beck and Angela Burlaka were investigated last year for sexual misconduct with a former varsity football quarterback.

The teachers no longer work for the district, but the incidences have sparked debate over mandatory reporting and whether Centennial administrators reported alleged abuse early enough.
