A four-story Woodspring Suites hotel with 122 rooms and more than 130 parking spaces is planned on 5 acres in a business park on the north side of the 300 to 400 blocks of East Baseline Road and east side of the 1800 to 2000 blocks of South Mesa Drive. Jack Gilmore of Gilmore Planning and Landscape Architecture is the applicant for a site plan. Sundown Equipment LLC is the owner.

Light industrial zoning is one of the listed primary zoning districts within the business park. The hotel’s proposed development will provide temporary accommodation in support of the business activities in the area and within the industrial park, City Planner Ryan McCann said in a memo to the planning and zoning board.
