A permit has been approved to expand an existing multifamily development south of Main Street and east of Stapley Drive in Mesa.
The Mesa Board of Adjustment on Aug. 5 voted 4-0 to approve a substantial conformance improvement permit for the La Jolla Villas development as part of a consent agenda with other items. Boardmembers Troy Glover, Gerson Barrera and Gordon Sheffield were absent.
Eight additional units are planned at a seven-unit development at 1500 E. Dana Ave., according to a city of Mesa document.
