“Water Tower Plaza serves as both a metaphorical heart of Gilbert as well as a physical one with its constant use and the joy and pride it brings to residents,” Gilbert Mayor Brigette Peterson said in a release. “We are thrilled to reopen this cherished area with modern upgrades that make this treasured spot an even more enjoyable gathering space for our community.”
To mark the occasion, the reopening celebration will feature activities for all ages, including:
Holiday crafts;
Snow activities;
A synthetic ice rink;
Inflatables;
Food trucks;
Live carolers.
The highlight of the evening will be the lighting of the iconic Gilbert Water Tower at 7 p.m.
