Higley Unified School District approved its second and final budget revision for fiscal year 2025-26 Tuesday night, adjusting projected revenues and expenditures to reflect updated enrollment figures, reduced one-time state funding and the ongoing financial effects of the district’s failed override renewal.
The revision, approved unanimously by the governing board, updates the district’s financial plan using 100th-day enrollment figures and the latest state funding estimates before the district approves its fiscal year 2026-27 budget next month.
The revision takes the maintenance and operations budget from $118.87 million to $118.86 million, less than .01% difference, and the capital budget from $18.51 million to $18.49 million, a drop of .1%.
