The Gilbert Public Schools and Higley Unified School District governing boards meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
At Higley, the board will move closer to picking its next superintendent it narrows the candidate field for a second round of interviews.
Additionally, the board will hear three audit reports: the Single Audit Report, the Uniform System of Financial Records Compliance Questionnaire and the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.
The board also will pick up a tabled discussion of what time to start board meetings. Some board members have pushed for a return to 5 p.m. starts because of how long the district’s meetings go and the length of day it makes for school employees, while others want to continue with the new 6 p.m. time to make it easier for the public to attend.
The district also will have a second review of its proposed maintenance and operations budget.
Higley meets at its district office, 2935 S. Recker Road, Gilbert.
Gilbert Public Schools is planning a work session with a brief board meeting meeting. The district has its first budget revision on its agenda.
Additionally, the study session will cover the secondary schools’ grading practices.
