Gilbert schools revise course catalogs for 2026–27

Gilbert Public Schools will update its junior high and high school course description books for next year, adding new programs, removing outdated courses, and reorganizing information to make the guides easier for families to use.

During a Nov. 18 presentation to the governing board, Director of Secondary Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Krista Cox outlined how the district’s curriculum teams spent months reviewing campus requests, refining program offerings and modernizing descriptions.

Cox said the district uses large committees of 40 to 50 people with many different stakeholders to work through proposed changes each year.
