Gilbert Public Schools to review preschool tuition rates

Gilbert Public Schools is reviewing its preschool tuition rates to ensure competitiveness and sustainability.

As with the Community Education proposal for a tuition hike on its Very Important Kids before- and after-school program, the preschool increases were part of an overview presentation to the governing board Nov. 6 on the work of the department. The actual proposed increases will go before the board for action next month.

The department also is proposing adjustments to staff titles and compensation to align with state licensing requirements and improve efficiency, said Dawn Koberstein, director of early learning for the district.
