Gilbert Public Schools has selected new principals for Mesquite Junior High School and Campo Verde High School, with the governing board approving Johnny Stegall and Erica Helfrey for the 2026-27 school year.
The appointments, approved unanimously by the board, mark leadership transitions at two campuses as the district prepares for the upcoming school year.
Stegall, serving at Mesquite Junior High, will take over as principal of the campus, bringing with him both administrative experience and a long-standing connection to the district.
