Gilbert mayor-elect named chair of water association

Gilbert Mayor-elect Scott Anderson will serve as the Arizona Municipal Water Users Association Board of Directors president this year.

Gilbert Mayor-elect Scott Anderson will be the president of the Arizona Municipal Water Users Assocation board of directors for the coming year.

Anderson has served on the board since February 2020 when Eddie Cook, who then represented the town on the board, left Gilbert Town Council to become Maricopa County assessor.

AMWUA facilitates municipal cooperation in securing and maintaining water and water rights for urban uses. The organization has 10 Valley cities as its members, including Gilbert.
