Gilbert issues Fourth of July fireworks safety tips

Gilbert released safety guidance for residents planning to use consumer fireworks during Independence Day celebrations, outlining permitted dates, legal restrictions and recommended precautions to reduce injuries and fire risks.

Under Arizona law and Gilbert town ordinance, non-aerial fireworks are allowed on private property with the owner’s permission from June 24 through July 6.

Fireworks are prohibited on public property, including parks, streets and rights-of-way. Violations, including use outside permitted dates, may result in fines of up to $1,000.
