Gilbert hosting 'Naturalist Night Hike' at Riparian Preserve

Gilbert Parks and Recreation will hold a Naturalist Night Hike on Friday at the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch. 

The Riparian Preserve staff will lead this hiking experience for those ages 18 and older exploring the preserve after dark.

During this roughly one-mile guided hike hikerswill learn about desert nocturnal animals like scorpions, owls, bats and other creatures of the night.

Gilbert hosting 'Naturalist Night Hike' at Riparian Preserve

Gilbert Parks and Recreation will hold a Naturalist Night Hike on Friday at the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch. 

The Riparian Preserve staff will lead this hiking experience for those ages 18 and older exploring the preserve after dark.

During this roughly one-mile guided hike hikerswill learn about desert nocturnal animals like scorpions, owls, bats and other creatures of the night.

Hikers should wear closed toed shoes and bring a headlamp with a red light. Pets are not allowed.

The hike will be from 7:30 to 9 p.m.  The cost is $4. Hikers can register here.
