Four Girl Scouts from Gilbert were among 27 recipients of the Girl Scout Gold Award, the organization’s highest honor, for leading community service projects addressing local needs.
The awards were presented by Girl Scouts–Arizona Cactus-Pine Council, which recognizes participants who develop and complete long-term projects designed to create sustainable solutions to real-world challenges.
The Gilbert honorees are Ciera Colburn, Courtney Hartle, Taylor MacDonald and Alexis Gefroh. Each completed project focused on issues ranging from life skills education and family support services to animal welfare and health awareness.
