Benjamin Franklin High School will be the host school for a 76-team cross county meet Sept. 7 in Gilbert.
The Great Western Equinox XC Invite will start at 6:30 a.m. at Freestone Park, 10:45 a.m. Juniper Ave., Gilbert.
Among the 76 schools, local schools include Gilbert Christian, Campo Verde, Williams Field, Highland, Gilbert Classical, Perry, Arete Prep, Higley, Gilbert, Leading Edge-Gilbert and host Benjamin Franklin.
All of the races will be at a distance of 5K. The girls championship run is at 6:30 a.m. and boys at 7 a.m. with a series of subsequent races at different levels. The last race is scheduled for 9:34 a.m.
