AP participation, pass rates rise at Gilbert Public Schools

Participation and performance in Advanced Placement courses continue to rise across Gilbert Public Schools, reflecting broader efforts to expand access to advanced academic opportunities and prepare students for postsecondary education.

The district administered about 1,800 AP exams across its high schools in 2022. That number is projected to reach approximately 6,200 during the 2025-26 school year, according to district data, marking nearly a fourfold increase in student participation.

AP courses feature college-level curriculum and exams developed by the College Board and offer students the opportunity to earn college credit at participating colleges and universities.
