Rodeo event in Chandler on April 12

Eight Second Saturdays is a monthly rodeo/showdeo series that offers a range of Western-themed events such as bull-, steer- and calf-riding competitions, mutton busting, calf scrambles, boot races, stick horse racing, and a free concert.

The event is at the Buck-N Rodeo Grounds' Rawhide Event Center, 5244 S. 48th St., Chandler, near Wild Horse Pass Boulevard.

The series runs second Saturday of every month from November through May. The rodeo will be held from 5-9 p.m. each occasion.

The  April 12 live music is by Bobby Joe Bell. On May 10, Josh Roy will perform.

Tickets can be purchased here. They're  $12 for adult pre-orders, $15 the day of the event. Discounts are available for Gila River, military and first responders and for children's tickets.
