Mesa zoning board approves recommendation of housing development rezoning

The Mesa Planning and Zoning Board voted 4-0 on Feb. 26 to recommend the city council rezone an area to make way for a multifamily housing development.

Vice Chair Jeff Pitcher, Boardmember Genessee Montes and Boardmember Chase Farnsworth were absent.

The 5-acre lot called Park North is 275 feet east of the northeast corner of South Power and East Guadalupe roads. The proposal, made by applicant Chris Webb on behalf of owner P & G Land Development LLC, is to change the type of planned-area development overlay on the land as well as a site plan review for a multiple-residence development totaling 120 units.
