In honor of National Good Neighbor Day, Chandler residents can stop by the city’s Neighborhood Resources building for a free treat.

Treats will be provided by Andy’s Custard on Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Attendees will also receive a coloring sheet with tips on how to be a good neighbor and other resources offered by the department.

The event was initially set for Friday, Sept. 26, before heavy rain rolled into Arizona that day.

Neighborhood Resources is located at 235 S. Arizona Street,  in  the front of the building shared with a parking garage, across Chicago Street from Chandler City Hall. The Neighborhood Programs staff will be outside to greet attendees as they drive by to receive their free items.

“National Good Neighbor Day is a fun reminder of how small acts of kindness can strengthen our community,” said Priscilla Quintana, Chandler’s Neighborhood Programs manager. “Whether it’s checking in on a neighbor, lending a helping hand, or even sharing a smile, these neighborly connections make our city a more welcoming place for everyone. My team hopes you can stop by to meet us.”
