Artis Alex Ross has created comics for almost 30 years.

Ross's work is the subject of a few upcoming events at the Chandler Museum.

“Marvelocity: The Art of Alex Ross” is an exhibit open now and will be on view through Jan. 19, 2025 at the Chandler Museum.

The Museum is located at 300 S. Chandler Village Drive. It's open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sundays 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., closed Mondays. Admission is free.

Ross has turned classic superheroes into works of art by illustrating characters, including Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man, Storm from the X-Men, the Avengers, Black Panther and many others.

In addition to viewing some of Ross’ best-known works, visitors will also learn how Alex Ross developed his skills in illustration through his childhood drawings, preliminary sketches, paintings and 3-D head busts of Marvel characters.

The Marvelocity exhibit was developed by the Bess Bower Dunn Museum.
