The Surprise Fire-Medical Department is giving adults who are interested in pursuing a career in the fire service a chance to show their stuff.

The department is accepting applications for its fire cadet program, a volunteer opportunity designed for aspiring fire service workers.

The program provides hands-on experience and professional development for aspiring firefighters.
