Several customers and employees dressed in costumes convened at the McDonalds off Reems Road and Grand Avenue for a Trunk-or-Treat event Oct. 23, hosted by the restaurant to encourage community relations between the business and neighbors.
El Mirage resident Samantha Richards, a former employee, brought her children and nieces and nephews to participate. Her mother lives in Surprise so they often patronize the Surprise restaurant.
“I saw the flyer on the drive-through. They wanted to come,” said Richards.
