Surprise reader prefers roundabouts to four-way stops
Metro Creative Connection
I lived in Bend, Oregon, from 1989 until recently and saw the town’s population go from 19,000 to over 107,000 in the 30 years I lived there.
I watched the fast growth and the number of roundabouts go from zero to over 40. I love them, and having lived in Suprise and visiting family in the Verrado area, I wonder why the abundance of four-way stops are still being used.
Indian School Road is just one that really needs a roundabout. I believe the only people who don’t like them must be those who have never learned to navigate them.
