A Surprise-based robotics team is receiving more accolades for its outstanding season.
The Surprise City Council recently honored Robotics Group Launch Team 6352 during a meeting after the group received an Arizona East Regional FIRST Impact Award and qualified for nationals for only the second time.
“We’re so very thankful to represent the city of Surprise and show at a national level that we are about more than robotics,” group leader Steven Robinson told the council on May 20. “We are about trying to reach out to the community and share those opportunities where they aren’t currently available.”
