It is a top 25 matchup and one of the first games of the year nationally. To say OUAZ is starting the 2026 season with a big one is an understatement.
“I’ve done more interviews in the last week than I have in probably the last five years combined,” OUAZ coach Reilly Murphy said about the lead up to Thursday night’s opener at No. 5-ranked Montana Tech in the Copper Bowl. “There’s a little bit of buzz there.”
About 6,000 people are expected for Tech’s game against No. 22 OUAZ, which is entering its second season under Murphy after posting an 8-1 record last year.
