A family outing for many included a late Friday festive swim with floating pumpkins at the Surprise Aquatic Center, 15831 N Bullard Ave.
More than 150 people had checked in and found areas poolside and along the pool perimeter by 6 p.m. Oct. 16, where participants of all ages had fun swimming, diving, playing games, and gathering pumpkins at a city pool.
A Surprise couple, Adrianna Austin and Maulik, saw the Surprise Parks and Recreation’s Facebook post about the event and planned to attend for the first time so their children could have something to do during the school break.
