Alumnae club welcomes new member

Carla Mungai is one of the new members of the Arrowhead-West Phoenix Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club. She is 85, plays soccer, pickle ball, bowls and felt she had to quit skiing at 70 because of the fast and intimidating snowboards.

On July 26, in a soccer tournament in Burlington, Vermont, she was playing soccer with a Stayin’ Alive team where she scored a goal.

She owns an online bookstore and has been assisting the chapter's Literacy Committee, of which she is a member, by donating books to the club’s Little Free Libraries. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, she worked for the U.S. Census.
