Multi-platinum artist Russell Dickerson has been called one of country music’s most exciting performers.

Surprise music lovers are about to find out why.

Dickerson was announced this week as the headliner for next spring’s Out of the Park Music Fest at Mark Coronado Park, next to Surprise Stadium.

The third annual event to end the spring training season is happening from 2 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 21. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Nov. 18, at OutOfTheParkMusicFest.com/Tickets.

The festival will feature more local and national bands to be announced, a beer garden, food trucks, yard games and family activities.

The evening will highlight big-name country stars, while the daytime portion brings a multi-genre mix of acclaimed bands and local artists.

Dickerson is known for smash hits like “Happen to Me,” “Yours,” “Blue Tacoma,” “Love You Like I Used To” and “God Gave Me a Girl!”

He has amassed three billion career streams, and recently released his highly acclaimed fourth studio album, “Famous Back Home.” Visit RussellDickerson.com.

General admission tickets are $50, but Surprise residents can get a special $35 promotion through Dec. 31 with code MUSICFEST26! Resident tickets will be verified by zip code.

General admission rickets will be available the day of the event online or at the Surprise Stadium Box Office for $60.

A limited number of VIP tickets are also available for $150. The premium tier has a dedicated viewing area of the stage, private bar and restrooms and reserved parking. Tickets include catering and two beverage vouchers.

The city is also offering bundles of the festival and the final spring training game earlier in the day. Those start at $43.
