Going back 32 years, members of the Woodworking Club in Sun City West have been making toys for young children during the holiday season and giving back in a big way.
The handmade wooden toys are displayed every December for students to come by an make a selection during this service event. Members of the Women’s Club also take part by purchasing toys from a store for kids to choose from as well.
“After the kids pick out their toys, they get together in the courtyard to sing and meet some of the people who put this all together,” said Ron Wilson, Woodworking Club president.
