Trump can’t buy my vote

Sun City West reader: 18 U.S. Code § 597 makes it illegal to solicit, accept or receive expenditures in consideration of a vote

OPINION — Trump threw paper towels to the crowd on 10/03/17 at Calvary Chapel in Guaynabo Puerto Rico during a relief visit after hurricane Maria. How demeaning that was.

Now he is going to give me $5,000 of my own money to vote MAGA? How demeaning is that? My vote can’t be bought or sold. 18 U.S. Code § 597 makes it illegal to solicit, accept or receive any such expenditures in consideration of a vote.

In the scheme of things, $5,000 means little to me. In fact, I’m going to send $5,000 to the DNC to get MAGA defeated. I would pay that and more to stop the MAGA crowd from pillaging our economy and driving up the national debt for the benefit of the rich billionaires.
