Shepherd of the Hills makes 200 kindness kits

Congregation makes kits twice a year

Members of the Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church helped to pack 200 kindness kits to support Circle the City.

After service, as members headed into fellowship hour, each picked up a plastic bag to fill with water, socks, body wash, deodorant, snack bar, sunscreen, toothbrush, toothpaste, sanitizer, lip balm and a handwritten note from the congregation.

Last May, 200 kits were also assembled which Julie Killebrew, MSN, head educator for Shepherd of the Hills said was the first of two packings. Circle of the City picks up the packages to deliver to individuals facing homelessness in Maricopa County.
