The platform tennis courts at the R.H. Johnson Tennis Complex are being refurbished. The photos show the new post tension system being installed and the concrete being poured. The courts are part of the approved capital improvements program to update the only four platform tennis courts in Arizona. The grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony is Sunday, Dec.6, at the courts. There will be free lessons on platform and red ball tennis, music provided by 103.1 FM KSCW. More than $1,000 in raffle prizes will be given out, plus a free slice of pie.
