On Aug. 19, at the intersection of 135th Avenue and Deer Valley Road, a truck caught fire right outside the fire station, diverting traffic in the area.
Arizona Fire & Medical Authority Station 333 crews responded to the fire that started in the bed of a truck and moved into the cab, according to AFMA Public Information Officer Kane Nixon.
Although this incident occurred directly outside of the fire station, located at 13431 W. Deer Valley Drive, Nixon said firefighters did not begin operating at the emergency scene without notifying dispatch.
