Sun City's Viewpoint Lake project behind again

Dirt haul away to be costly

The project to replace the liner at Viewpoint Lake encountered another setback.

The project is now estimated to be four months behind schedule. The latest delay was caused by a larger amount of dirt and sludge than originally estimated to be hauled away .

“We expected there would be about 16,000 cubic yards of material to be hauled away,” said Cory Seversen, Pacific Aquascapes president. “Now we estimate there is 70,000-80,000 cubic yards.”
