Sun City Rec Centers host first board meeting of 2026

The Recreation Centers of Sun City hosted its first monthly board meeting of the year Jan. 29, in the Sundial Auditorium, to give reports from 2025 and vote on which Mountain View renovation project option to move forward with.

The meeting started with a report from RCSC Treasurer Rick Gray, who said total assets grew from $151.6 million to $161.7 million. He added that the RCSC is holding $62.3 million for future repairs, improvements and emergencies.

“The bottom line is we’re in great financial shape and we’re getting better, we’re getting stronger,” he said. “That’s because we’ve got great staff. The people that are sitting down at these tables have done a fantastic job this last year. If you remember the year before, we had some serious concerns on finances.”
