Lakeview United Methodist Church, 10298 W. Thunderbird Blvd., is hosting its yearly Easter Bucket Drive, concluding on Palm Sunday, March 24.
The Missions Committee will provide buckets that are available in Smoot Hall, along with grass, unfilled eggs and a colored plastic bag for a cover. A book about the Christian Easter story is included. Participants are asked to purchase items such as toys, books, wrapped candy, puzzles, games, coloring books, crayons, chalk, small stuffed animals, etc. to fill the buckets, and then return them to Smoot Hall March 24.
Buckets will be picked up after the 9:30 a.m. service and be given to the Valley View Food Bank for distribution to pre-school and grade school children.
