Sun City church offers craft classes

Posted

The Congregational Church of Sun City crafters and quilters group known as the Sweat Shop Sorority offers a craft class each month where participants learn a variety of new skills from different instructors.

Last month, church member Arlene Porter led the class in teaching basic flower arranging. Participants each got to arrange their own florals and take their creations home.

Upcoming classes include placemat making May 28 and a card making class June 24. The Sweat Shop Sorority also meets weekly, 9 a.m. Mondays, for quilting, crafting, knitting and more to benefit the church and local charities such as Hospice of the Valley.

The church is located at 18401 N. 99th Ave. Call 623-977-4241, email admin@ccscaz.org or visit ccscaz.org for more information.
