Local group hosts special speaker

October is Breast Awareness Month and Victims of Domestic Violence Month and Sun City’s Agua Fria National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter invited guest speaker Nancy Horskey, Arizona State DAR Woman’s Issues Committee Chair, to their October monthly meeting.
Ms. Horskey, a breast cancer survivor, spoke about how the Phoenix Sojourner Center, a non-profit organization that helps women, children and men who are victims of domestic violence.
Agua Fria DAR chapter members donated items to the Sojourner’s Center. The center welcomes volunteers and donations.
