The Arizona Foundation for Women’s annual signature event Soirée Moonlight Masquerade will be held Feb. 24 at 5:30 p.m. at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa. It is co-chaired by Dr. Radha Rishi and Seema Patel.
It is an honor to recognize this year’s astounding advocates for women: Mary-Louise Parker, Andrea Tyler Evans and Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone, Arizona Foundation for Women CEO Mesha Davis said in a written statement.
The event will feature honorees for the Sandra Day O’Connor Lifetime Achievement Award, Voice of Women Award and the Marilyn R. Seymann Award.
Mary-Louise Parker will receive the Sandra Day O’Connor Lifetime Achievement Award, given to distinguished women for their leadership and contributions to society.
Parker has been a Broadway and television actress for more than 35 years and has won numerous awards including two Tony awards, an Emmy and two Golden Globes. She has been recognized for her work in the US and East Africa, especially with women and children, and her work on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community
Andrea Tyler Evans will receive the Voice of Women Award, recognizing women filmmakers, artists and thought leaders.
Evans is owner and publisher of Frontdoors Media, a local print and digital publication company. She spends hours volunteering at organizations, including the Arizona Foundation for Women, that support women, children and the arts.
Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone will receive the Marilyn R. Seymann Award, given to an Arizonan who has made a significant difference in the lives of women and children.
Penzone has more than 30 years of experience in law enforcement. He has served as vice president for Childhelp, a non-profit dedicated to the prevention of child abuse, and serves on the board of the New Life Domestic Violence Center.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with notable Arizona Foundation for Women patrons and guests throughout the evening. All event proceeds will be used to promote the programs and services of the Arizona Foundation for Women: safety, health and economic empowerment for women in Arizona.
