Chandler Police announced Wednesday that a suspect had been killed in an officer-involved shooting.
Wednesday afternoon, the Chandler Police Department said, in a news release, it's investigating an officer-involved shooting in the 2100 block of North Central Drive in North Chandler at about noon.
The department said the shooting was part of an isolated incident in terms of there being no at-large people involved.
"No officers were injured during this incident," police said in the news release. "The suspect involved in this is deceased. There is no danger to the community at this time."
The 2100 block of North Central Drive is in a residential area northwest of the intersection of Warner and Alma School roads. Police advised motorists to avoid the area.
"We will post updates here (on the Twitter account @ChandlerPolice) as this investigation evolves," the department tweeted early Wednesday afternoon.
