Olewinski looks to make a difference

Posted

Name: Carole K. Zingula Olewinski.

Age: Senior.

Business name: Ordained Minister and Concierge Service. Available for services Monday-Sunday, phone contact and appointment hours 8 a.m.-9 p.m., 435-640-7204 or carole@carolecoaches.com.

Town/neighborhood: Sun City.

Personal background highlights: Arizona resident 16 years. I moved here from Iowa, the Midwest, where a great work ethic is highly recognized. I started working as a pre-teen in various jobs providing me with a multitude of opportunities enriching my life into adulthood. I taught accordion lessons and danced ballroom. With my husband and three children, we camped, traveled and sat on a lot of bleachers watching our three children participate in sports.

Professional background highlights: Retired R.N. Instructor and oncology specialist; public speaker and organizer for professional education seminars; floral business owner; ballroom gown design/sales; health insurance agent, certified concierge; author, counselor and spiritual leadership. I have never retired, only changing professions to further my personal and spiritual growth and meet new challenges.

What I do: I clear my mind every morning with meditation. Giving thanks, praying for others and asking for assistance to better our world. Every day I make a list of continued and new goals. My daily challenge is to make a difference in some way, to someone or something in this world, no matter how small.

What I like most about doing business here: I have found the Valley of the Sun to be friendly, helpful when asked for assistance, comfortable climate, many opportunities to network a business. My work has taken me to many areas in Arizona and I like the diversity.

Changes I’d like to see in this area: Safety and recognize mental health issues.

What am I promoting: I am promoting myself. As a personal ordained minister, I have passion for this profession and compassion extending to all occasions I officiate. My background experience in organization, concierge and spirituality brings a multitude of love and personal touch to guarantee satisfaction to any ceremony or event. The joy of weddings is different than the “celebration of life” for a funeral service. My background affords me the experience for all types of services.

What I’m excited about and why: I’m excited to be a part of joy, comfort, celebration of life, meeting new people, helping others, perhaps making a difference in someone’s life. Opening another chapter of my life is very exciting and I feel thankful to be granted the health for this opportunity. Living life to the fullest opens new doors every day. I am excited to venture behind these previously closed doors.

Favorite community cause and why: Food banks. There is always a need and will continue to be, especially now with our economy.

When and why I started my business/employment here: My current business started here recently because of a very unique situation. I am the author of “Surviving Online Dating Fraud” published 2019, available on Amazon. Following the publication, I was fortunate to fall in love and marry a Sun City resident. However, nine months after our marriage, COVID struck both of us. My husband did not survive. Throughout bereavement and recovery of COVID my faith led me to wanting to help others and seek joy in being a part of special celebrations, whether it be weddings or funerals. My professional and personal experience offers exceptional service.

My family: One son, two daughters, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All of my family are in various locations across the country.

My interests and hobbies: Spiritual study, writing, dancing, golf, swim, travel, flower garden and arrangement, social/concierge entertaining, interior design,

People who inspire me (and how): Mike Dooley, author and spiritual leader, he left his accounting job to seek what he wanted and believed, “Thoughts become things, choose the good ones.” He currently continues to write self help books and speaks around the world teaching and sharing his message. I have studied closely with him and gained much inspiration from his life’s story and teaching.

My guiding philosophy: Maya Angelou quote, “We must have humor in our lives, and warmth and giving.”

My advice to today’s youth: Set goals. Create your vision and see it, smell it, feel it. “Thoughts become things, choose the good ones.” There is no such thing as entitlement.
