A 28-year-old man has been booked on felony hit-and-run charges involving a fatal Dec. 10 collision on Cave Creek and Pima roads in Carefree, authorities said Saturday.
Authorities allege Jose Andres Guerrero Talamantes fled the scene of the crash that led to the death of David Hadrich, who was riding a motorcycle.
During the course of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office investigation, the Glendale Police Department received a call for service on Feb. 9 in which the caller indicated finding the possible suspect vehicle involved in the collision, a white 2015 GMC 2500. It was in a storage yard in Glendale.
MCSO seized the vehicle. The truck and other evidence led authorities to Guerrero Talamantes, according to an MCSO release.
The suspect was arrested on March 1.
“Successful identification of a suspect in this investigation was made possible through the hard work and dedication of MCSO Detectives/support personnel and the community’s assistance in providing lead information,” Sheriff Russ Skinner stated in the release.
