Local law firm offers stipends to Scottsdale teachers for supplies

DeFusco Law firm continues its tradition of donating money to teachers in the Scottsdale Unified School District for classroom supplies.

According to a press release, Scottsdale-based law firm DeFusco Law is offering $300 stipends for classroom supplies to teachers in the Scottsdale Unified School District. Applications will be accepted through July 17.

Attorneys Andy and Bryn DeFusco are the founding partners at DeFusco Law, a firm that is dedicated to providing legal representation for victims of car accidents, crime, unreasonable conduct by insurance companies and wrongful death survivors, the release explained.

The DeFuscos are products of public schools and with their children attending SUSD schools, they are passionate about supporting public education.

Since 2018, DeFusco Law has awarded over $28,000 to nearly 100 SUSD teachers for classroom supplies. DeFusco Law awards at least ten teachers with $300 stipends (five each semester).

In the fall 2021 semester, DeFusco Law allocated additional funds from a settled claim referred to the firm by an SUSD staff member and awarded eighteen teacher stipends.

As teachers return to their classrooms tasked with the demands of teaching during these unprecedented times, DeFusco Law is honored to assist these valuable educators, the release stated.
