Report: Voters support transparency in private school funding

In a newly released 2024 Arizona Voters’ Agenda survey from the Center for the Future of Arizona, voters overwhelmingly support increased transparency in the financials of private schools, among other educational-based findings released Wednesday.

The statewide survey found overwhelming support for transparency and accountability for private schools accepting state funding through Empowerment Scholarship Accounts.

“While there are differences of opinion about the appropriate level of funding and the effectiveness of Arizona's Empowerment Scholarship Account program, also known as ESAs or universal school vouchers, there is majority support around the need for transparency and accountability for private schools accepting those funds,” wrote the CFA in a press release.
