One of Arizona’s oldest nonprofits is in need of community donations to continue serving young women with shelter and culturally responsive, trauma informed care.

Founded in 1896, Florence Crittenton, located at 715 W. Mariposa St., in Phoenix, is the second oldest social service agency in Arizona. Throughout its history it has been dedicated to serving at-risk and disadvantaged girls and young women by providing them safety, hope, and opportunity.

The agency was named after Florence Crittenton, who died at the age of 4 from scarlet fever.

Items needed include:

  • Coping skills supplies: Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty-Mini Tins; colored pencils and Mandala coloring books; stress balls; and fidget toys.
  • Bedding supplies: twin sized quilts and bed sheets; duffle bags; bassinets; and strollers.
  • Gift cards: Amazon, Marshalls, Ross, Target, Walmart, etc. These are used for emergency cases for clients in need of clothing and other miscellaneous items.
