Chandler schools could have bond on November ballot

The Chandler Unified School District Governing Board seems poised to vote next month on whether or not to take a bond to voters this November.

The district has mostly exhausted its bond funds and has some expensive projects and site improvements needed for its 44 campuses, 40,000-plus students and 5,000 employees.

Lana Berry, the district’s chief financial officer, discussed CUSD’s bond options and the process in a May 8 work session.
