Glendale City Council is set to approve Tuesday a licensing agreement for 3G Archery Inc. to use the new range at Heroes Regional Park, 8181 W. Bethany Home Road

The meeting is at 6 p.m., Council Chambers, 5850 W. Glendale Ave.

In exchange for free use of the archery range, the company must provide 8 to 10 percent of its programs at no cost to low- to moderate-income families.

3G would provide lessons, programs and tournaments at the archery range. It would be allowed to use the range during the hours of 6 a.m. to sunset and any hours outside of that must be submitted to the city for approval.

The company, which is responsible for regular upkeep at the range, would be allowed to charge fees for its offerings. The city first has to approve the fee-based programs.

The company also would be required to hold a minimum of two free introductory archery events during the calendar year to promote archery events and other city programs.

The contract would begin Feb.15, 2017 and end on Feb. 15, 2019 with the option to renew for four, one-year periods.

Other council items on the agenda includes a licensing agreement with Co Chow Croppers to use city-owned property at 91st Avenue and Bethany Home Road and authorizing the acceptance of a $253,396 grant to purchase a PM-10 street sweeper.
