The Arizona Governor's Office of Highway Safety has provided state transportation officials with $72,000 to continue processing crash date submitted by law enforcment.
The GOHS has allocated the money since 2014 to the Arizona Department of Transportation's crash records section, which is responsible under state law for creating crash data reports that government agencies, nonprofit groups and other entities statewide use to improve traffic safety, according to an ADOT release.
The grant will add a position in the crash records unit.
