INDEPENDENT NEWSMEDIA
Phoenix Police Department detectives said the death on Saturday of a 2-year-old boy “is consistent with a tragic accidental drowning.”
Police officers and fire personnel were called and found the boy being giving CPR by family members about 1:15 p.m. June 15 near 5600 West Virginia Avenue.
Axiel Marquez, 2, was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead, according to a Phoenix Police Department release.
“At this time, there is nothing investigators found suspicious or that indicates foul play,” the release stated.
