4 candidates set for ballot in Peoria Unified school board race

Election set for 2 incumbents and 2 newcomers

It appears Peoria Unified School District governing board will have a competitive race in this year’s general election with four candidates vying for two open seats.

Monday marked the deadline to file election documents with the Maricopa County School Superintendent’s office.

Peoria Unified terms expire at the end of this year for current board members Melissa Ewing and Heather Rooks, who are both seeking reelection.
